New street photographs

For the sake of variety, I’ve switched out two-thirds of the pictures on my 2000-2019 street photography page. Also, in keeping with my general policy of not publishing street photos until they are at least five years old, and considering that 2024 is almost upon us, all of the new pictures were taken before 2020. They are mostly previously unpublished and I hope you enjoy them. Click here.

I’ve also made several other structural improvements to the site, especially the “about me” material. Thanks for checking it out.

And, finally, just for kicks, I tried out Squarespace’s new AI text generating module. You can see the results here.

Chosen for Royal Academy of Art

I’m very happy to post that, for the second year running, one of my pictures has been included in the prestigious Royal Academy of Art’s Summer Exhibition (https://bit.ly/3p0bzwK). The huge exhibition of 1,600 works at the RA on Piccadilly Street in London runs until 20th August. This year’s theme is “Only Connect” and my picture is titled “Headsets.” And, I’m pleased to add that my picture found a buyer at the show.

Headsets

By the way, it turns out that the picture the Royal Photographic Society chose for their Summer Exhibition (mentioned in my previous post) is my shot of a storm approaching the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. I only have one left of this picture from the limited edition of five mounted on aluminium.
